The Path to Recovery

Understanding if Echo is the right tool for you and your loved ones.

1. Check Symptoms

Echo is designed for those experiencing Aphasia: a language disorder often caused by stroke, brain injury, or neurological conditions.

Symptoms include finding the right words or having difficulty understanding the meaning of common objects.

2. Consult an expert

Successful recovery starts with an expert. We strongly recommend getting a professional diagnosis from a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to ensure Echo fits into their specific clinical therapy plan.

3. Begin a daily practice

Neuroplasticity requires high-frequency, repetitive practice to rewire the brain. Once you have a plan with your therapist, use Echo's adaptive exercises to build the consistency needed for real progress.

Evidence based. Culturally rooted.

Proven Therapy Methods

Currently, our exercises are designed specifically to support Word Recall and the Comprehension of Concepts.

Instead of giving an answer immediately, the app provides standardized phonemic (sound-based) and semantic (meaning-based) hints.

This guided recall helps retrain the brain's language pathways through the focused repetition required for neuroplasticity.

Adaptive learning

Most apps are repetitive which can lead to frustration. Echo learns exactly where your loved one struggles and adapts in real-time, skipping what they've already mastered so they can focus their energy on the words that need the most work.

Relevant vocabulary

Most tool are limited to Western-only examples that don't fit every home. We focus on the specific foods, objects, and vocabulary your family actually uses, ensuring that every session is relevant to their real-world environment.

The story behind Echo

When my father suffered a stroke last year, I saw firsthand how difficult the road to recovery can be. I quickly realized that the tools available were often prohibitively expensive, culturally disconnected, or limited only to English.

Drawing on my background in design and education, I built Echo to bridge that gap. I'm not reinventing the science but simply making proven speech therapy accessible, culturally relevant, and simple enough for every family to handle at home.
